Assistant Manager - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Glenrothes, Fife.

Please note that for full time positions we will generally require you to be fully flexible in your availability for work throughout the week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to our customers.
• Be responsible for the development of your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and providing feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Take responsibility for motivating and guiding your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

Qualifications

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• A people person who finds it easy to get on everyone and builds strong working relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable as an important member of a small team.
• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if offered the advertised position.
