Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and reliable Laboratory Technician (Fixed Term Contract) to join our Mineral Processing Laboratory team in Truro, supporting laboratory based mineral processing test work and sample preparation.
Role- Support the delivery of metallurgical testing programmes, working closely with laboratory and metallurgical teams.
- Sample preparation in line with laboratory standards and testing requirements.
- Follow written procedures and standard operating instructions.
- Conduct basic standardised laboratory tests independently.
- Support metallurgists and wider technical teams with ongoing work.
- Carry out general laboratory duties, including cleaning, maintenance and calibration of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, including SSOW and COSHH.

About You- A practical, hands on approach with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- The ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
- A safety conscious mindset when working in laboratory environments.
- The ability to work independently when required.
- An understanding of the importance of quality and productivity in a commercial setting.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Previous laboratory or similar experience (desirable but not essential; full training will be provided).
