Job Description
About the role

In this role, you will assist the Hinkley project within BBMP to deliver the People Plan that supports the achievement of key contractual deliverables. You will be required to support demobilisation, mobilization as well as owning and coordinating a variety of cyclical activities and HR projects.

What you'll be doing
  • Working to identify resource which will move from one part of the Hinkley project to the next and which needs to be redeployed. Proactive recruitment for any ramp up roles into 2027.
  • Leading the interface with other parts of the HR function and HR Business Partners to own cyclical activity and coordinate submissions (such as learning and development, pay reviews, talent, Early Careers etc.)
  • Providing a professional and considered approach to resolving non-standard queries that have a material impact on the project/business unit, including escalating issues and overseeing their resolution in a timely manner
  • Providing advisory support to change programmes and promoting people- related initiatives
  • Support line managers and less experienced leaders to take a high-quality approach on key areas of the HR agenda, for example:
  • Supporting sessions on areas such as talent identification and management, creating a high-performance culture, improving employee engagement etc
  • Delivering sessions to increase line manager capability and competence
  • Provide one-to-one coaching and advice on people issues to enhance managers' ability to deliver their People Plans
  • Coordination of ad-hoc HR projects and activities, liaising with representatives across the wider HR team, the Enabling Functions, the Group and any parent companies as required
Who we're looking for
  • Experience in providing advice and guidance to leaders through change and an ability to manage change programmes and initiatives with the input of matrix HR team support
  • Knowledge of HR policy, practice and procedures through previous generalist HR experience
  • Emotionally intelligent and able to flex personal style and preferences to establish rapport and credibility with senior leaders
  • Energetic, creative and pragmatic approach to resolving challenges
  • Ability to respond to competing priorities and manage a high and diverse workload
  • Proven effective relationship management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant IT applications
