What the role is:

  • Coordinating with departments (banqueting, catering, AV, housekeeping)
  • Managing day to day client expectations for bookings - Corporate events and Social events
  • Providing excellent service to clients
  • Handling last minute changes calmly and efficiently
  • Coordinating across vendors, hotel teams, and clients
  • Managing multiple events simultaneously
  • Managing invoices and event P&Ls
  • Ensuring profitability of events
  • Handling unexpected issues (weather, equipment, staffing)
  • Creative solutions on event day
  • Familiarity with hotel PMS (Opera)
  • Event management software
  • Ensuring compliance with hotel policies
  • Reviewing Function sheets (Banquet Event Orders)
  • Double checking room setups, dietary requirements, and schedules
  • Ensuring a seamless guest experience

What we're looking for from you:

  • The ability to manage, plan and execute all events within conferencing and banqueting department
  • The ability to engage well with guests to provide an outstanding and unforgettable experience
  • Excellent attention to detail & a high level of knowledge of Food & Beverage service
  • The ability to adapt to change and work well under pressure
  • Outgoing and friendly personality
  • Have a professional image at all times in line with the Hotel standards
  • Be committed to the team and the Hotel industry
  • Be flexible with working hours (must be available for weekends, early starts and late finishes)
  • Previous experience with Hotel Event operations
  • Outstanding attention to detail and effective communication
  • Ability to follow verbal directions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
