• leading a KS2 class (leadership release will be given for SENDCO role)
• the planning and teaching of the Maths mastery curriculum and English curriculum/creative curriculum
• supporting, holding accountable, developing and leading a team of TA's to secure high quality support across the school
• leading on SEND systems across the school, maintaining the SEND register, completing EHCP/HNBF applications and liaising with parents/carers to ensure support is in place for children
• taking the lead on behaviour and attendance across the academy
• working with pupils with SEND, those receiving PP, EAL or LAC to best support their needs in school
• working as part of a team to ensure pupils make rapid progress
• proactively and professionally upholding the values and high expectations of the School
• being a member of the leadership team and making a significant contribution to the strategic development and direction of the school
The successful candidate will:
• be driven and enthusiastic about ensuring all pupils achieve at least age related expectations
• be an excellent classroom teacher with a secure understanding of the National Curriculum
• have a proven track record in raising standards (adding value) as a classroom teacher or senior leader
• be a qualified SENDCO willing to be the named SENDCO at the school
• be a DSL or willing to train to be a DSL (desirable)
• be committed to the journey of the School and work with all parents, staff, pupils and governors
• be positive, adaptable and excited by the challenges of a growing school
