We are seeking a compassionate, organised, and customer-focused Assistant Hardship Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable customers and helping individuals facing financial difficulties.

Working closely with the Hardship Officer and wider support teams, you will play a key role in assessing customer circumstances, providing appropriate support, and ensuring customers receive fair and consistent outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process hardship interventions, including crisis payments and fuel voucher awards.
  • Respond to operational enquiries relating to the Emergency Support Scheme, escalating issues where required.
  • Maintain hardship systems, records, and processes, including monitoring programme expenditure.
  • Support the development and delivery of hardship initiatives, projects, and service improvements.
  • Provide advice and operational support to colleagues within the Emergency Support Scheme.
