A permanent opportunity has arisen within the Property Department of NHS Tayside, to recruit an Assistant Estates Manager - Contracts Management with responsibility across all Tayside sites based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

The role is to develop and implement a Facilities contracts management approach to spend and embed the procurement strategy, procurement journey and procurement tools across the department to ensure compliance of service provision within agreed governance Quality Standards, Policies and Procedures.

You will actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and increase the scope of procurement activity by providing expert procurement advice, utilising your wider procurement knowledge, to ensure governance of spend and the delivery of best value procurement options. Through interrogation of local procurement strategies and the implementation of national and local contracts, the postholder will deliver excellent value for money contracts, ensuring governance of spend and compliance to public procurement regulations and NHS Tayside's standing financial instructions, minimising risk to the organisation.

The Postholder is responsible for overseeing, leading and ensuring contracts are managed, monitored and reviewed for need and benefit and for relevant Information Governance and Records Management, and for business contract statutory and mandatory compliance monitoring and reporting.

The post holder may be required to work at any NHS Tayside Property as necessary.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
