Job Description
Assistant Director - Digital Transformation LeadJM 117738 Hackney£347.24 per day PAYEContract Length: 6 months35-37 hours per weekLocation: Hackney LondonOur client is seeking an Assistant Director, you will be the driving force behind our corporate Digital Transformation Programme. Reporting to the Executive Director - Transformation, you will provide strategic leadership and direction to IT and digital services, ensuring they are aligned with the organisation's corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development, strategy, and implementation of an ambitious Digital Transformation Programme.

  • Lead the corporate IT strategy, ensuring it supports wider transformation goals.

  • Advise senior leadership and decision-makers on strategic digital opportunities and priorities.

  • Champion the development of the organisation's website to enhance user experience and accessibility.

  • Foster a culture of innovation by exploring and adopting new technologies and digital approaches.

  • Ensure the benefits of digital transformation are effectively communicated to employees, stakeholders, and service users.

  • Embed robust frameworks such as ITIL and TOGAF to ensure service excellence.

Essential Experience:

  • Significant experience in developing and implementing successful digital transformation and IT strategies and programmes.

  • A demonstrable history of managing complex programmes and projects that have led to clear improvements.

  • Proven experience in driving and communicating transformational change.

  • Extensive experience with programme and project management tools.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • A thorough understanding of digital transformational change, IT operations, and performance management.

  • A comprehensive grasp of strategic digital models, including cloud-based solutions and "digital by default" principles.

  • The ability to horizon scan and identify key opportunities and drivers for the organisation.

  • Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate programmes and develop innovative and practical solutions.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.

  • A relevant professional or post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience.

  • ITIL certification is desirable.
