Deli Supervisor

Location: Loughrea, Galway - 30 minutes east of Galway City and 30 minutes from Portumna.

Our client is a large Irish owned retail business operating over 35 fresh food stores nationwide. The role is second in command in the deli department of a busy high traffic convenience store.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about food, thrives in a fast paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support the Deli Manager with the daily running of the deli.
• Supervise and support a team of 3 5 staff.
• Manage stock levels and place orders when needed.
• Help reduce waste and keep the department well stocked.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards are followed.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and customer service.
• Train and support staff to help them perform their roles effectively.

Requirements

• Experience working in a busy deli, catering, or food environment.
• Experience with stock control and ordering food products.
• Good customer service and attention to cleanliness and food presentation.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
