We are looking to appoint an Assistant Charity Shop Manager to join our team, who will work with the Shop Manager to oversee the safe and effective management of the shop and to further the mission of The Salvation Army.Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities will include: ensuring the highest standards of customer care; managing the daily operation of the shop including stock management and shop appearance; managing the security and accounting of cash, including Gift Aid; health and safety compliance; overseeing the safe and timely collection and delivery of goods and the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers.The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:Previous experience in a retail environment and in managing volunteers and staffProven interpersonal skillsGood IT skillsAn ability to work on their own initiative and in a teamA commitment to the values, aims and ethos of The Salvation Army Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check Enhanced Adult DBS Disclosure check and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.As we are not a licensed sponsor, applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
