Job Description

We are seeking to expand our world class team in the Ground and Water business to support contaminated land assessment, geoenvironmental investigations, and remediation projects. The role is based in Naas, Ireland and offers a flexible, hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with project coordination and day to day task delivery.
  • Support planning activities for site investigation and assessment work.
  • Manage and deliver site investigations.
  • Assist with fieldwork including soil and rock logging, environmental sampling, groundwater sampling, ground gas and vapour monitoring, and coordination of laboratory chemical and geotechnical testing.
  • Collate, review and interpret field and laboratory data.
  • Prepare sections of technical reports such as desk studies, ground investigation reports, risk assessments, and remediation/verification reporting.
  • Assist with site investigation design and programme planning.
  • Support the development of strong client relationships.
  • Ensure all work is delivered in line with company procedures and highest safety, health and environmental standards.
  • Work closely with senior team members and support early career colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Relevant technical degree (geology, chemistry, biology, engineering, environmental science or related discipline).
  • Experience with planning, designing, and managing site investigations.
  • Knowledge of Construction Design and Management Regulations as they apply to safe site investigation practices.
  • Experience in Ireland site investigations, including logging of soil/made ground, well installation design, and environmental sample collection.
  • Report writing skills and ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Experience with data handling; GIS skills are desirable.
  • Awareness or willingness to learn relevant regulatory regimes such as planning, environmental permitting, due diligence, environmental impact assessment, etc.
  • Interest in specialist technical areas such as quantitative risk assessment, hydrogeology, remediation, waste/material management or impact assessments.
  • Willingness to travel.
