Contract: Permanent/Full time

We are looking for a proactive and organised manager to lead the production of high-quality assessment materials that support learners and teachers across the UK.

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

About the role

As an Assessment Materials Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and accurate production of assessment materials for Cambridge OCR qualifications. Leading a team of up to six administrators, you'll oversee the end-to-end process, from planning and scheduling to quality checks and delivery, ensuring deadlines are met and standards maintained.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • managing the assessment materials production process and reporting on progress.
  • leading and developing your team, providing coaching and support to help them succeed.
  • collaborating with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and keep materials on track.
  • driving continuous improvement and innovation in processes and systems.
  • acting as a subject matter expert and supporting change initiatives.
About you

You're an experienced people manager with a proactive, can-do attitude and a passion for delivering high-quality results. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while supporting your team to succeed. You'll bring strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential, and experience with assessment material production processes or CCMS would be an advantage. If you're adaptable, collaborative, and ready to take ownership of critical processes, we'd love to hear from you.

Rewards and benefits

We will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a world-class, flexible rewards package, featuring family-friendly and planet-friendly benefits including:

  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Private medical and Permanent Health Insurance
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Group personal pension scheme
  • Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary
  • Green travel schemes

We are a hybrid working organisation, and we offer a range of flexible working options from day one. We expect most hybrid-working colleagues to spend 40-60% of their time at their dedicated office or location. We will also consider other work arrangements if you wish to work more flexibly or require adjustments due to a disability.
