Hours: Monday- Thursday 08:00- 17:00, Friday 08:00- 15:00

Our client is a specialist distributor supplying products designed for mental health and custodial environments. They are seeking a reliable, practical, and detail-oriented individual to join their small, supportive team.

This is primarily an assembly-based role, requiring someone who enjoys working with their hands, can accurately measure and cut materials, and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products. Alongside assembly duties, you will assist with stock management, dispatch activities, and occasional customer deliveries throughout the UK.

As an Assembly/Logistics Operative your duties will be:
  • Assemble components to create finished products in accordance with quality standards.
  • Measure, cut, and prepare materials to precise specifications.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in production processes and efficiency.
  • Pick and prepare products to meet customer requirements.
  • Package goods securely, label accurately, and prepare items for dispatch.
  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including larger or awkward items.
  • Collect and deliver products throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays (all expenses covered).
  • Assist with stock control using the company's stock management system.
  • Order stock and incidental items as required.
  • Participate in bi-annual stock takes and undertake occasional stock checks to maintain stock accuracy.
The successful Assembly/Logistics Operative will have the following skills:
  • Strong practical assembly, manufacturing, or enhanced DIY skills.
  • Experience measuring, cutting, and assembling products to specification.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Minimum of 3 years' driving experience.
  • Previous experience in an assembly, manufacturing, production, or engineering environment.
  • Previous warehouse or dispatch experience.
  • A DBS check will be required as part of the recruitment process.
  • Must be comfortable with occasional overnight travel throughout the UK.
