The school is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive, and they are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a lasting difference.
The Role- Supporting students with Autism across various year groups.
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to help children access the curriculum.
- Promoting communication, independence, and emotional regulation.
- Assisting with sensory needs and behavior strategies.
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and SENCOs to deliver personalized support.
- Experience working with children or young people with Autism.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable nature.
- A good understanding of SEN and strategies to support ASD.
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude.
- A valid Enhanced DBS Adult and Child (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants.
- Psychology or education graduates with a passion for autism support.
- Support workers or care staff looking for a school based role.
- Individuals pursuing a career in SEN teaching, therapy, or child development.
- Experience working with children or young people with Autism.
- A valid Enhanced DBS Adult and Child (or willingness to obtain one).
