Asbestos Lab Manager - Essex

Our client is a highly acclaimed and UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy that provides specialist asbestos services nationwide. They are recruiting an Asbestos Lab Manager to join their busy team in the Essex area.

Location: Essex area - applicants from Dartford, Enfield, Basildon and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must possess the P401 asbestos qualification.
• Will have supervisory/management experience within an asbestos lab setting.
• A strong technical, quality, audits, and laboratory background essential.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain all analytical instrumentation and equipment regularly.
• Manage, train, and develop staff as required.
• Ensure the working environment is always clean and tidy.
• Comply with all Health and Safety requirements of the role.
• Oversee the laboratory team and ensure work is carried out effectively.
• Ensure samples are appropriately dealt with and stored correctly.
• Monitor work carried out and maintain stocks of materials.
• Liaise with clients on a regular basis.
• Carry out audit checks.
• Ensure that the quality systems are carried out in accordance with the company's procedures and policies.
• Build and maintain good relationships with the company's portfolio of clients.
