Asbestos Lab Analyst - Hemel Hempstead

Our client is an established and growing asbestos consultancy, recruiting for an experienced Asbestos Lab Analyst based in or around the Hemel Hempstead area. The ideal candidate will possess a P401 asbestos certificate and demonstrated laboratory experience. Applicants from St Albans, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualification & Experience:

• Must hold an asbestos P401 certificate and have previous laboratory experience within the asbestos industry.
• Holding a P403 certificate and experience in soil testing would be beneficial but not essential.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Specific Aspects of the Role:

• Receiving and logging samples received by the laboratory.
• Preparing samples, carrying out fibre content analysis and reporting findings.
• Calibrating asbestos lab equipment.
• Completing analysis test sheets and meeting required time frames.
• Assisting with other laboratory and ad hoc duties.
