AS/400 Developer

We are looking for an experienced AS400 Developer to support and enhance critical business applications running on the IBM i platform, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability in a high-availability environment.

Responsabilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance core applications on IBM AS400 (IBM i).
• Program using COBOL, RPG/RPGLE, and SYNON (CA 2E), along with CL and DB2 for i.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line production support, incident resolution, and batch processing (EOD/EOW/EOM).
• Manage system integrations (e.g., SAP) and ensure data integrity across interfaces.
• Perform technical analysis, documentation, unit testing, and support UAT.
• Drive improvements in system performance, maintainability, and legacy optimisation.

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of AS400 development experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience supporting mission-critical, high-volume systems.
• Strong combined expertise in COBOL, RPG, and SYNON.
• Experience with production support and high-availability systems.
• Knowledge of batch processing, job scheduling, and DB2.
