About the Role

We are looking for an AI Developer to join our Lisbon team and help build AI-driven services for our enterprise e-Procurement platform.

In this role, you will design and develop independent AI services that integrate into our platform through clearly defined APIs. These services focus on LLM-based automation, intelligent data processing, and AI-powered workflows that improve procurement efficiency.

You will work closely with our core development team, delivering production-ready AI services while the platform team integrates them into the product ecosystem.

Our development approach emphasizes small, stable releases, short feedback cycles, and production-quality engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Service Development - Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered backend services supporting our e-Procurement platform.
• LLM Integration - Implement services leveraging modern LLM technologies for tasks such as classification, information extraction, workflow automation, and intelligent assistance.
• API & Service Architecture - Build scalable APIs and microservices that integrate seamlessly with the core platform.
• Containerized Deployment - Develop and operate containerized services designed for reliability and scalability.
• Prototyping & Innovation - Evaluate emerging AI technologies, LLM models, tools, and development patterns. Build prototypes and bring successful concepts into production.
• Collaboration with Core Platform Team - Work closely with the platform development team to ensure smooth integration of AI services into the main product.
• Operational Stability - Ensure services are production-ready with monitoring, logging, and stable runtime behavior.
• Agile Development - Participate in iterative development cycles with frequent releases and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge Sharing - Contribute ideas, share insights about new AI developments, and actively support the team's technical growth.

Must-Have Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong experience developing backend services and APIs
• Experience building scalable distributed systems
• Solid experience with containerized applications (e.g., Docker)
• Interest or practical experience working with AI technologies, LLMs, or machine learning services
• Understanding of service-oriented architectures or microservices

Professional Background

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or comparable practical development experience
• Several years of experience in backend or platform development
• Experience delivering production-ready services and APIs

Language & Communication

• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within international teams

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience working with LLM APIs or AI frameworks
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval systems
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and service monitoring
• Experience with enterprise software or B2B platforms
