DescriptionWe are now recruiting Graduate Tax Trainees to join our Tax team as part of our inaugural Tax Trainee Programme, commencing in September.
This is a three-year structured trainee contract, designed to provide a rigorous introduction to professional tax practice. Trainees will work closely with partners, associates and other specialists across the firm while studying towards the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification.
Trainees will gain early exposure to complex, real-world tax work, supported by structured training, mentoring and paid study leave throughout the programme.
You will:
- Support the Tax team on advisory and transactional tax matters across a broad range of sectors
- Assist with tax structuring for corporate, finance, real estate and M&A transactions
- Carry out tax research and analysis, preparing internal notes and client-facing materials
- Draft and review tax documentation, disclosures and correspondence
- Engage with colleagues across Corporate, Finance and Real Estate teams on multi-disciplinary matters
- Study towards the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification, with full exam and study support provided by the firm
- Assist in delivering clear, accurate and commercially focused tax advice
- Support partners and associates on live transactions and advisory projects
- Develop an understanding of clients' commercial objectives and the tax implications arising
- Build strong technical foundations in Irish and international tax
- Research complex tax issues and present findings clearly and succinctly
- Apply learning from CTA studies to practical client work
- Work as part of a small, specialist tax team in a collaborative environment
- Engage with colleagues across practice groups on integrated client matters
- Take part in formal and informal training, mentoring and feedback processes
- Adhere to the firm's quality, risk and compliance standards
- Manage deadlines effectively and maintain strong attention to detail
- Steady development of strong technical and commercial tax skills
- High-quality work product delivered accurately and on time
