We are looking for an ART LoB Global Head of Deal Services, based in Wallisellen.

The Team

The Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) line of business of Allianz Commercial creates innovative tailored structured insurance, captive reinsurance, and other non-traditional risk management solutions for a wide range of corporate and financial clients globally. We specialize in helping our customers mitigate their most complex risks with bespoke multi-year and multi-line agreements covering a broad range of risks, leveraging our expertise in alternative risk transfer and the global capabilities of the Allianz Group.

The Impact You Will Have

As the Global Head of Deal Services, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring efficient and effective transaction operations across the ART LoB Structured Insurance, Other Retained Risk, and Strategic Fronting business segments. Your role will involve maintaining accurate record-keeping, implementing internal controls, providing underwriting support, and establishing Deal Services processes and standards. You will oversee technical bookings for ART LoB globally coordinate with local F&A functions to ensure accurate portfolio reflection. You will also be a key business owner of the ART policy data storage system, ensuring data integrity, quality, and consistency.

Responsibilities
  • Supervision and management of Deal Services, including defining roles and coaching employees.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to processes in Deal Services.
  • Establish effective guidelines and approaches for Deal Services teams.
  • Act as business owner for Deal Services elements in ART LoB transaction systems.
  • Oversee booking activities for all transactions in the ART LoB portfolio.
  • Responsible for all ART LoB transaction bookings for ART AG and ART Bda via SICS. Instruct & oversee bookings for ART LoB transactions in AGR US and AGCS SE under Deal Services Responsibility.
  • Develop & maintain overview of P&L impact for transactions under Deal Services Responsibility, including run off business. Align this view with actual booked position in Quarterly Review control.
  • Ensure proper governance around processes and controls within Deal Services and provide guidance to the team. Ensure collaboration with Finance and other functions supporting process and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Own the Operational sign-off within the ART LoB Underwriting process and ensure close collaboration with the F&A sign-off.
  • Manage and monitor transaction performance, liaising with underwriting, claims, and other functions.
What You'll Bring to the Role
  • Extensive expertise in both traditional and non-traditional insurance sectors.
  • Profound understanding of insurance operations and accounting practices.
  • Several years of experience in underwriting, finance, or operations within the insurance industry.
  • Proven experience in managing teams, with strong leadership skills and full management responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to develop solutions for complex issues.
  • Solid organizational skills, with a clear understanding of how deal operations interact with other functions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively conveying ideas and messages both verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to ensure ethical AI practices and stay updated with emerging AI technologies will be key to maintaining a competitive advantage.
