We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner: Nurses/Social Workers and Occupational Therapists to work in PCNs as part of the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS).
These new positions are exciting and innovative and will provide mental health support to Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in Kent. PCNs are groups of GP practices who work together in a local geographical area. There are numerous posts available across the PCNs in Kent.
It is an exciting time to join services in Kent as we are beginning a programme of transformation of community Mental Health services, these roles are the building blocks for those developments. You will primarily work in the PCNs as a member of the integrated teams in GP surgeries.
Main duties of the jobThe ARRS practitioner will be embedded as part of the PCN Multi-Disciplinary Team. Working alongside the other roles, they will also have close links with the community mental health Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). The practitioner can access and draw down on secondary mental health services and help provide a "bridge" between primary care and secondary mental health providers by delivering high quality mental health care in Primary Care Settings.
The role requires a highly competent, proficient practitioner, who is able to work autonomously & creatively in this busy demanding role. Excellent assessment skills and knowledge of local resources is essential to this role, as it is the gate keeper and guardian for referral to secondary care services.
We are seeking experienced Mental Health Practitioners who can come and make a difference. Providing high quality interventions in our new primary care integrated mental health service, you will be an important member of our primary care team.

Job responsibilitiesThe post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Person Specification Experience- Significant experience working with people with mental ill health in a community setting
- Working collaboratively with service users and their families/ carers
- Experience working in primary care
- Experience working in a multiagency setting
- oQualifications: min of 3 years post qualifications
- Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare or social work
- Certificate in teaching and assessing in clinical practice as appropriate to own profession
- Key skills in literacy
- Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge to post-graduate level of evidence based practice in caring for patients in the designated field
- Communication Skills: Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients, cares/ families and all members of the multidisciplinary team
