The Company:

Our client is a well-established supplier within the agricultural and horticultural equipment sector, recognised for providing quality products, technical expertise, and dependable after sales support. The business has developed a strong and loyal customer base across the UK, built on reliability, product knowledge, and long standing relationships.

The Job Role:

As Area Sales Representative you will be responsible for managing and developing sales across the Northern UK territory. This is a field based role focused on both account management and new business development, working closely with dealers. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market presence while maintaining exceptional customer relationships.

Location:

Field based role with regular travel across Northern UK to cover the territory.

Salary Package:

£40,000 - £45,000 Basic Salary depending on experience + Commission based on sales performance + Company Vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow an established customer and dealer network across the Northern region.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within agricultural, horticultural, and related sectors.
  • Conduct on site visits, product demonstrations, and technical consultations.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including technical support and logistics.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of product lines, competitor activity, and market trends.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and after sales follow up.
  • Occasional overnight stays and attendance at industry events as required.
Candidate Requirements: Essential:
  • Proven experience in field sales or territory sales in the Agricultural, Horticultural or related sectors.
  • Knowledge and experience with dealer networks.
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Confident communicator with professional presentation skills.
Desirable:
  • Experience within agricultural, machinery, engineering, or technical product sales.
  • Practical or hands on mechanical understanding.
