Area Property Operations Manager

Contract Length: 4 months
Location: Cheshire/Northwest, United Kingdom
Working Arrangement: On-site

This is a *Cheshire/Northwest*based role with an excellent immediate start within a Public Sector organisation working on *Managing the day-to-day property and facilities operations across the assigned sites.*

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Area Property Operations Manager to oversee the effective management and operation of facilities across our clients site

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the facilities, maintenance, security and associated property services operate safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day property and facilities operations across the assigned sites.
  • Oversee maintenance, facilities services, security and other property-related services.
  • Ensure the needs of the organisation, employees and visitors are effectively supported.
  • Monitor performance against health & safety, cost, programme and quality requirements.
  • Identify performance issues, risks and deviations and implement appropriate remedial actions.
  • Manage contractors, suppliers and relevant stakeholders to ensure services are delivered effectively.
  • Prepare, review and manage technical specifications for property and maintenance works.
  • Manage the preparation and approval of health, safety and technical documentation.
  • Ensure documentation is appropriately reviewed before progressing through to implementation.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant property, facilities, health & safety and operational requirements.
  • Provide clear reporting on performance, risks, issues and progress.
  • Support continuous improvement across property operations and facilities management.

Essential Experience

Candidates should have:

  • Strong experience in property, facilities or estates operations management.
  • Experience managing building maintenance and facilities services.
  • Experience overseeing contractors and/or suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance within property/facilities environments.
  • Experience monitoring cost, programme, quality and performance.
  • Experience producing or reviewing technical specifications and safety documentation.
  • Ability to identify operational issues and put effective remedial actions in place.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience working within a highly regulated or operational environment would be advantageous.
