Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training completed as part of their apprenticeship.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice with effect from January 2027 or earlier if possible for 35 hours per week plus five Inset Days. The post is term time only and for a fixed term contract of 15 months.

The successful candidate will support children in our Nursery and Reception classes (aged 2-4 years), helping to create a nurturing, stimulating and engaging learning environment. This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in education while gaining a nationally recognised qualification. It is essential that you have excellent English and Mathematics skills and a real passion for wanting all children to achieve their very best.

We are looking for someone who:

  • can support and enhance the culture of teamwork within the school community

In return we can promise:

  • a friendly, welcoming and supportive staff team
  • well-behaved, confident and enthusiastic children who enjoy school and are eager to learn
  • high-quality training and mentoring throughout your apprenticeship
  • supportive governors and parents
  • additional professional development opportunities alongside your apprenticeship training provided by Juniper Education

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure check, references and all other relevant pre-employment checks.
