Allstaff Recruitment are currently seeking an Applications Engineer based in Bedford for a reputable professional organisation.
Summary of theApplications Engineer role
Salary: £35,000 per annum Location: Bedford Type of Contract: Permanent Hours: Full-time - 40 hours a week
The role
As the Applications Engineer your role will involve the following important duties:
- Selection and quotation of products.
- Translate technical requirements into selection of units.
- Prepare cost estimates for new assembly proposals and prepare quotations for presentation.
- Maintenance, trouble shooting and commissioning of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Create instruction and maintenance manuals.
The experience required
As a successful Applications Engineer you will have the following:
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering essential.
- Experience translating technical requirements into selection of units.
- Experience preparing cost estimates and quotations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Attention to detail.
