As an Application Engineer at LiveWest, you will be responsible for delivering strategic projects and workstreams as outlined in LiveWest's IT Strategy. You will support the Application Engineer Manager in introducing new application technology and continuously customising, developing, and enhancing the existing suite of applications, cloud platforms, and services. You will be key to integrating business processes and systems across the organisation, involving the customisation, development, and deployment of solutions using cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage systems improvement and implementation projects identified within the IT strategy, ensuring timely delivery.
- Engage with business stakeholders to provide technical knowledge and guidance, evaluating and improving business processes.
- Design new solutions and system improvements, ensuring robust documentation and stakeholder agreement.
- Manage configuration and change within projects, ensuring data quality and smooth transitions to business-as-usual operations.
- Ensure cloud platforms are adequately resourced, licensed, and monitored for optimal performance.
- Communicate complex information clearly to all levels within the organisation and to external stakeholders as required.
- Some experience with MuleSoft.
- Extensive experience building and deploying solutions using MS365, Salesforce, or Azure platforms.
- Experience with interface or ETL procedure development, maintenance, and operation.
- Project management experience and leading project teams.
- Extensive application systems and information technology experience.
- Experience operating in a business partner model, working with key stakeholders.
- Excellent consultancy and communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions at a senior level.
- Understanding of IT systems environment and requirements gathering.
- Knowledge of web technologies and programming methodologies.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Ability to present technical information clearly to non technical colleagues.
- Ability to create detailed plans, procedures, and policies.
- MuleSoft certification or similar platform certification (Desirable).
- Appropriate technical certification (e.g., MS365, Salesforce, Azure Services).
- Recognised project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, AGILE) (Desirable).
- HND or Degree level in a relevant discipline (Desirable).
This role is being offered on a full time basis working 37.5 hours per week. This is a hybrid working role and is available for 2 - 3 days per week in the office, dependent on business need.
