API Platform Architect

Note: You must be based in Belgium and 8 days a month on site at the Brussels office is mandatory.

General description

The API CoE plays a crucial role in enabling the effective development and management of APIs within the organization. It is responsible for establishing governance, standards, guidelines and offering tools and templates to ensure an efficient API development life cycle. The team acts as the expert and guardian of these principles, standards, and guidelines. The API CoE is the central body to ensure that the API Ecosystem evolves to the expected level of maturity to serve both internal and external clients.

For this team we are looking for a someone who is bringing deep knowledge and drive to enable APIs in the organisation. You combine this with business insights to support the delivery of solutions where API will make both technical and business sense, to allow us to strengthen our API ecosystem and capitalize on new business opportunities.

Your Qualifications

• Experience in designing and implementing (REST) API
• Experience with IAM (OAuth2, OIDC) and security for APIs
• Working experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps (CI/CD)
• Enable the foundations allowing us to expose APIs: framework, tooling, processes, guidelines, training,
• Supporting teams to deliver APIs all over the company
• Profound experience in every stage of the software development life cycle.
• Ensures the refinement and translation of requirements into a structured and efficient set of functionalities
• Define the technology architecture and direction of API
• Drive new opportunities from a technical perspective, from the initial ideation/Proof of Concept stage, through to supporting the product delivery.
• You are considered as the reference expert within the company and are able to evangelise the technology and Position API into our ecosystem.
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, among peers, business and senior leaders within the organisation, as well as the technical/development community.
• Working experience in a regulated environment with high attention to cyber risk control
