Analyst - Asset Valuation & Technical Oversight

This is a great job for someone who has strong working experience within a Derivative Pricing function within Asset Management.

A bit about the job:

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support and manage both internal and external stakeholders while ensuring the accuracy and validity of pricing data across all asset types, including OTC derivatives, within the IBoR and ABoR through effective oversight of our outsourced partner. This role involves providing governance over Aviva Investors outsourced middle office function, critically evaluating existing processes to enhance service delivery, increase efficiency, reduce risk, and strengthen controls. You will act as the subject matter expert for derivative asset pricing, contributing to both near-term and strategic change initiatives. Responsibilities also include defining, developing, and delivering solutions as part of business-as-usual and project work, maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date processes, and serving as the operational liaison for bespoke transactions. Additionally, you will provide technical input into the design, maintenance, and governance of valuation models, and offer SME insight into new valuation techniques tailored to innovative trades.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Comfortable discussing complex valuation techniques with Fund Managers / Analysts

  • Capable of understanding valuation techniques used in bespoke transactions.

  • Working knowledge of a wide range of OTC tradable instruments

  • Ability to explain pricing models and valuation techniques to Senior Management and Exec members in a clear and concise manner.

  • Relevant Financial Industry Qualifications and IMC / CFA preferred but not essential.
