Job Description

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EIB funded project called: Public Sector Loan Facility Advisory for the Maritsa East Complex and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

Location: Bulgaria.

Duration: The intended start date is July 2025 (the "Start Date") and the period of implementation of the Assignment will be 20 months from this date (the "Period of Implementation").


Key Expert: Ammonia Synthesis & Industrial Decarbonization Expert (Cat. II)


️ Qualifications and skills:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field (minimum requirement).
  • Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English (minimum requirement).
  • Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, ChemCAD, or similar) will be considered an asset.


️ General professional experience:

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in industrial decarbonization, ammonia synthesis, and process optimization (minimum requirement).


️ Specific professional experience:

  • Proven experience in the design and feasibility assessment of ammonia production projects, as demonstrated in at least three projects in the expert's CV (minimum requirement).
  • Expertise in industrial energy efficiency, emissions reduction strategies, and regulatory compliance will be considered an asset.
  • Experience working on projects involving green ammonia, hydrogen integration, and EU industrial decarbonization policies will be considered an asset.
  • Experience working in coal transition regions within the EU will be considered an asset.
