CG / VFX GENERALIST
Full Dome / Immersive Media Production, Remote, Dublin-Based Production, Immediate Start through November
We are a Dublin-based production company creating immersive media for hemispherical Full Dome projection. We are seeking a mid-level CG / VFX Generalist with particular strength in FX, simulations, and lighting to join us immediately on a contract through early November. Working under the Digital Imaging Supervisor, you will contribute across the CG pipeline while bringing specialist depth in effects and rendering - the kind of work that gives immersive productions their scale and atmosphere.
Responsibilities- Create and execute FX and simulation work in Maya - including particles, fluids, dynamics, and destruction - to production standard and schedule.
- Set up and render FX-heavy and effects-driven shots in Redshift, optimising for quality and render efficiency.
- Light and render a range of shot types, maintaining visual consistency with the established look of the production.
- Collaborate with the Digital Imaging Supervisor and TD on integrating FX elements into the broader CG pipeline.
- Contribute generalist CG support across other areas of production as needed - this is a flexible, hands-on role.
- Maintain clean, well-organised scene files and meet production handoff standards consistently.
- 3-5 years of CG/VFX production experience in animation, film, broadcast, or immersive media.
- Solid proficiency in Autodesk Maya with demonstrated strength in FX and simulation - particles, fluids, nCloth, nParticles, Bifrost, or similar.
- Strong Redshift skills across lighting, shading, and rendering of complex, effects-driven scenes.
- A good eye for how FX and lighting contribute to the overall feel of a shot - technically precise but visually aware.
- Comfortable working as a generalist beyond your specialism, pitching in across the pipeline where needed.
- Self-directed and reliable in a remote environment; able to manage your own workload and communicate clearly on progress.
- Prior dome or wide-format experience is not required.
Location: Fully Remote. Dublin-based production; overlap with Irish working hours (GMT/IST) expected.
Engagement: Project contract, immediate start through early November.
Reports To: Digital Imaging Supervisor.
We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
