Role OverviewLead the day to day operations of the air export division, ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant shipments while driving service excellence for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a team of export coordinators to deliver consistent, high quality performance
- Manage daily workloads, ensuring all shipments meet airline timelines and customer deadlines
- Act as the primary escalation point for key customers, resolving issues quickly and professionally
- Oversee export documentation including checks, commercial invoices, and customs declarations
- Coordinate with airlines, general sales agents, and handling agents to secure bookings and manage uplift performance
- Ensure full compliance with security regulations and governing rules
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve service and operational performance
- Identify and drive continuous improvements across processes and service delivery
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members
- Collaborate closely with internal teams across warehouses, import, finance, and customer service
Proven experience in air export operations within freight forwarding or logistics, with demonstrated team leadership or supervisory skills. Strong knowledge of airline requirements, cargo handling, and export documentation, including DG, customs, and security regulations. Fluency with freight based systems and airline portals. Excellent communication, problem solving, and negotiation abilities. Minimum five years residency in the UK to meet security clearance requirements.
