AHU Commissioning Engineer

Our client is seeking AHU Commissioning Engineers to support their regional client portfolio, addressing technical and engineering needs. They are a successful HVAC company that owns three different manufacturers, operates across 65 countries, and has been in operation for over 100 years.

They are looking for an AHU Commissioning Engineer to join their team due to expansion across the UK. The role involves traveling around London to provide technical support, commissioning, and diagnostic work across a variety of contracts, including banks, insurance companies, data centres, and gyms.

The main duties include:

1. Providing technical support, commissioning, and diagnostic work on AHU and control systems.
2. Supporting clients and fellow engineers technically.
3. Ensuring health and safety obligations are met and coordinating with the project delivery team.
4. Coordinating with project management and liaising with planners.
5. Maintaining site cleanliness.
6. Producing and managing critical spares lists.

Minimum requirements:

• Understanding of HVAC/AHU equipment.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and HVAC control software.
• City and Guilds 2079 City and Guilds/NVQ 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to pass or hold a DBS and security clearance.

Additional details:

• Salary: £45-60k depending on experience.
• 50-hour contract; 10 hours paid travel, 40 hours site time.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours outside the 50-hour contract.
• Overtime rates: 1.5x Mon-Sat, 2x Sundays and Bank Holidays.
• Company van (personal use to be discussed).
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with options to purchase up to 5 additional days.
• Call-out pay: £150 standby, with overtime and travel pay.
