An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the AHP Admin Team based in the Physiotherapy Department in both West Cumberland Hospital and Workington Hospital.
Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will be required to give administrative support to the Physiotherapy department and other AHP clinicians. This involves patient facing Reception duties, managing patient appointments and answering patient enquiries.
The role requires liaising with AHP clinicians, support staff and a variety of NHS staff on a daily basis. Experience of Microsoft Office and good literacy and communication skills are essential for this role.
The post will primarily be based in West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven but the successful post holder will be required to occasionally provide cover at Workington Hospital in times of sickness and annual leave.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows:
- Standard Check: £21.50 + Administration cost of £6.50 = £28.00 - deducted from salary over a 4 month period or a one-off payment.
- Enhanced Check: £49.50 + Administration cost of £6.50 = £56.00 - deducted from salary over a 4 month period or a one-off payment.

Person Specification Qualifications- Minimum of 2 GCSEs of level 4 and above/grade C in Maths and English or equivalent
- Additional qualification in Business Admin OCR/RSA Word Processing ICDL or equivalent.
- Experience of office/clerical procedures and practices, filing systems, use of dedicated computer systems and databases.
- Experience working in an administration role.
- Experience working within a health service.
- Experience of computer systems to run basic activity reports.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel databases.
- General office skills including file management systems and minute taking.
- Knowledge of a range of trust policies and national guidelines including confidentiality policies
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Good organisation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills including telephone manner.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Self motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to interpret and understand health related terms.
