About the roleWe are looking for a passionate Agile Coach to join our team following continuous growth and success in the UK National Security sector. Behind great solutions are great teams, and our Agile Coaches are there to help support, guide, and coach them to success. In BAE Systems we don't believe in constraining ambition, and therefore view Scrum Masters as Agile Coaches.
This particular role can range from junior to mid-level so we are happy to talk to candidates who are either starting out in their agile coaching career or who have some experience already, looking for the next career move. For this role you will be based in our Gloucester office with hybrid working arrangements available.
What you could be doing for us- Help individuals, teams and the wider organisation understand what it means to implement, adopt and embrace an Agile mindset.
- Guide, coach and mentor teams and organisations to embrace Agile ways of working to help them thrive in a complex world.
- Ensure teams and organisations understand and adhere to Agile theory and practices, facilitate stakeholder collaboration, and remove barriers between stakeholders and the team or organisation.
- At a team-level, be accountable for the team's effectiveness, promote self-organisation, remove impediments and facilitate the team's events and ceremonies.
- Support healthy team dynamics by creating psychologically safe environments where transparency and trust are catalysts for change and continuous improvement.
- Use a people centric outlook with emotional intelligence and soft skills to uncover and explore issues impacting the delivery of business value.
- Operate comfortably in a range of Agile capacities, including Scrum Master, Kanban facilitator/coach, and roles specific to Scaled Agile frameworks.
- Act as a change agent, community builder, and leader, growing your craft, attending conferences and meet ups, and participating in the business's wider Agile and Scrum communities.
- Experience offering hands on advice and coaching to at least one team which you are not directly responsible for.
- Have led and coached a department or small business unit in Agile adoption and implementation.
- Facilitated the wider Agile/Scrum community within your organisation.
- Confident in interacting with senior stakeholders and mentoring different Scrum/Agile techniques.
- Have understanding or experience in Agile scaling frameworks such as LeSS, SAFe, and Nexus.
