After School Club Leader

Job Overview

Prae Wood Primary & Nursery operates an after school club, RASCals, for pupils aged 3 11. We seek an enthusiastic, committed room leader to supervise and support children in a play based environment, providing care and attention at the end of their school day.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support pupils in the after school club.
• Plan and facilitate activities that take into account children's interests.
• Provide a safe, child centred environment conducive to learning and play.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and incidents.
• Communicate with parents and school staff regarding student progress.

Requirements

• Enthusiastic, kind, caring, fun and imaginative leader.
• Understanding of child centred approaches.
• Relevant Level 3 Child Care qualifications essential.
• Experience working with children in a school setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Contract

Fixed term for one year with potential for permanent role depending on demand. Hours Monday to Thursday 2:45pm 6:00pm (13hrs per week) or 3:00pm 5:30pm (10hrs per week).
