After School Club and Holiday Club Deputy Manager

Contract type: Maternity/Paternity Cover - temporary, up to 12 months, starting May 2026 until June 2027

Location: Edinburgh.

Working hours: Tuesday to Friday, 12pm to 6pm during term time, and 21 hours per week on a rota basis during school holidays.

The Role

Lead an effective and motivated team to deliver high quality out of school care for children in P1-P4 during term time and Nursery/P1-P7 during holidays. Support the Practitioner on a daily basis, evaluate the service weekly and maintain consistent practice across the provision. Be involved in staff ratios on the floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee operations of the after school and holiday clubs.
  • Provide daily support to the practitioner and staff.
  • Evaluate and improve the provision on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure consistent approach across the service.
  • Support children and staff and maintain staff ratios.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working with children.
  • Recognised childcare qualification (or actively working towards one).
  • Strong organisational and team leadership skills.
  • Kind, enthusiastic, responsible and able to prioritise children's interests.
Salary

£20,456 - £22,462 pro rata per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
