Job Description

Thanks to some high-profile client wins that have expanded the department, Tambo is looking for a Director of Advertising. This person will help set the vision and direction for our Amazon Advertising product and service, and more broadly across retail media, ensuring that Tambo remains a leading player in the global market.

This individual should come from an agency or client-side organization with experience managing a large team of advertising managers (5+) responsible for £7m+ of advertising spend. They will have worked with or within multi-brand and multi-market organizations, understanding the complexities of trading across borders and managing cultural differences. A minimum of 3 years Amazon advertising experience and over 7 years in biddable or programmatic media are required.

The candidate must be able to work independently, be commercially aware, and experienced in managing a P&L for their division. They should be capable of analyzing advertising plans, setting forecasts, and determining advertising strategies autonomously. Experience with AMC and a proven track record of utilizing data rooms to improve efficiencies are essential.

Experience with ad tech solutions and outsourcing solutions to reduce manual workload without compromising performance (e.g., Skai, Perpetua, Pacvue) is necessary. The candidate should be able to demonstrate partnership development with media owners and technology partners.

They should also have a track record of developing and nurturing teams, building talent, and motivating individuals to become leading e-commerce professionals in the UK-aligning with Tambo's core purpose.

This role is based in London, with regular attendance at the London office and occasional visits to Europe to meet clients.
