About Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced educator to join our Quality Team as an Advanced Teaching and Learning Coach (ATLC). This is a permanent, part-time role (0.6 FTE) that offers an exciting opportunity to make a measurable impact on the quality of education across our college and its sites.

As an ATLC, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward our commitment to Quality First Teaching, supporting colleagues to deliver consistently high standards of teaching, learning and assessment that lead to strong student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the development of teaching practice across curriculum areas, modelling excellence and sharing best practice.
• Coach and mentor staff, both individually and in groups, to embed outstanding pedagogical approaches and improve classroom delivery.
• Support quality assurance processes, including lesson visits, focus groups and other evaluative activities to inform continuous improvement.
• Design and deliver targeted CPD programmes, tailored to departmental and individual needs.
• Champion the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning, ensuring it is purposeful and impactful.

What We're Looking For

• A passionate educator with current experience in Further Education and a proven track record of good or better lesson visits.
• A self-starter who can identify development needs, create effective support programmes, and monitor progress.
• A strong communicator with the ability to inspire and influence others to improve their practice.
• A commitment to raising standards and improving student experiences through evidence-informed teaching strategies.

Start Date

The College operates 2 starter/induction days per month to welcome and onboard new members. These are usually the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month (unless there is a bank holiday).
