Applicants who do not meet the essential criteria will be considered under the Annex 21 training programme, where whilst undergoing training, they will be paid a 70% of the top of Band 7 and on completion of training will then move on to Band 7 scale.

The Role

• Are you an experienced Advanced Practitioner with a passion for ENT? We are looking for a highly skilled Advanced Practitioner to join our dynamic, forward-thinking team.
• As an Advanced Practitioner, you will work as a key member of our ENT team, providing high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for both adult and paediatric patients, presenting with acute and urgent ENT conditions.
• This includes undertaking advanced clinical assessment, performing ENT-specific procedures, prescribing safely and effectively, and requesting / interpreting investigations within your scope of practice.
• Acting as an autonomous practitioner, you will often be the first point of contact for urgent ENT presentations, ensuring timely intervention, admission avoidance where appropriate, and safe onward care.
• You will undertake rotational shifts including days and nights, across a seven-day working week (including public holidays).
• This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practitioner, or Trainee Advanced Practitioner looking to develop or enhance ENT-specific skills within a supportive and forward-thinking team, where advanced practice, clinical expertise and collaborative working is valued and encouraged.

What we'll need you to bring

• Registered Nurse / AHP / Pharmacist with valid NMC/HCPC / GPHC Registration.
• Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced clinical practice and expertise within speciality /
• Area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.
• Advanced Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality.
• Evidence of application of advanced practice skills in speciality and applying clinical judgement.
• Evidence of further developed knowledge and experience in management and/or leadership.
• Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification.
• The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative.
• Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills.
• Working knowledge of basic information technology.

It would be great if you also have

• Evidence of personal contribution to service planning and redesign projects.

This role will be based in Ear, Nose & Throat department within University Hospital Monklands.
