Job Title: Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) / Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) Location: Liverpool Service: Urgent Care & Out of Hours (OOH) Provider Contract Type: Locum - Evenings & Weekends Job Summary

An established Urgent Care and Out of Hours (OOH) provider in Liverpool is seeking experienced Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) to support evening and weekend service delivery.

The successful candidates will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients presenting with acute and urgent care needs across the lifespan.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute presentations

• Manage minor illness and injury presentations safely and effectively

• Prescribe independently in line with local and national guidelines

• Identify red flag symptoms and initiate appropriate escalation or referral

• Request, interpret and act upon investigations

• Provide clear safety-netting advice and appropriate follow-up arrangements

• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical documentation

• Work collaboratively within the OOH and urgent care team

Essential Requirements

• MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (completed)

• Registered ANP or ACP with relevant professional body (NMC or HCPC)

• Independent Prescriber qualification

• Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in urgent care, primary care, ED or OOH

• Evidence of advanced clinical assessment skills

• Experience working autonomously

• Up-to-date mandatory training

Desirable

• Experience in OOH services

• Minor illness and minor injury qualification

• Experience using Adastra or EMIS (or similar clinical systems)

Working Pattern

• Evenings and weekends

• Flexible locum shifts available
