We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner team at HMP Onley, acategory C Prison located in Rugby. Working across 2 sites: 2 days at HMP Rye Hill, 3 days at HMP Onley.
HMP Onley is a male prison with a population of 980 males.
HMP Rye Hill is a male prison with a population of 664. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner you must be a Substance Misuse Prescriber and have experience within Mental Health.

Hours
- Monday - Friday - 37.5 hours per week
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday based at HMP Onley
- Tuesday and Thursday based at HMP Rye Hill
- 8am - 4pm
Salary
This position is full time; you will receive an annual salary between £59,677 and £66,792 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job- Demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems
- Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team. This multidisciplinary team is made up of a variety of registered and non registered professionals including mental health and substance misuse practitioners.
- Act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times
- Support senior clinicians on site; you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients
- As a clinical expert in your field, work with the team to ensure patient safety, manage complex cases and apply the most up to date treatment methodology to patient care.

Qualifications required:
- Registered Nurse - Mental Health / Adult
- Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification - SMS Prescriber - Essential
- RCGP2 - Essential
- MSc in Advanced Practice
- Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
