Adults Social Worker- LD Team

Our client, a Greater Manchester council, is seeking an Adults Social Worker to join their LD Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Carry out person-centred assessments to identify needs and plan support.
• Take on safeguarding responsibilities to protect vulnerable individuals.
• Work closely with other professionals to ensure joined-up support.
• Apply knowledge of key legal frameworks including:
• Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
• Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
• Court of Protection (CoP)
• Complete paperwork for DoLS, CoP, and court statements.
• Work independently, managing your own caseload.
• Undertake MCA assessments across a range of situations.
• Be ready to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
