About this jobThe Saint Mary's Centre is recruiting an experienced and/or qualified ISVA to provide trauma informed advocacy support to adult clients with diverse needs within an independent and non judgmental service.
Responsibilities- Assess risk and support needs of adult ISVA clients through comprehensive assessments.
- Provide trauma informed advocacy support and facilitate access to justice for adults who are or may be engaging with the criminal justice system.
- Advise clients of options, signpost and support liaison with appropriate agencies and services.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to secure the best outcomes.
- Create, implement, coordinate and review client support plans.
- Provide information, advice, guidance and make external referrals as appropriate.
- Offer impartial advice and support to clients considering reporting their experience to criminal justice agencies and advocate for their chosen decisions.
- Support clients who have reported their experience and are engaged with the criminal justice system, advising them on procedures, processes and their rights in adherence to the Victims Code.
- Keep accurate, timely and appropriate records, including activity data collection.
