Job Description
ABE Secretary

Position Description and Qualifications:

  • The purpose of the position is to provide secretarial support to the Adult Basic Education Staff in all aspects of operating the Adult Basic Education Program. The position holder ensures that the program is running smoothly in all areas, in part, by establishing a flow of accurate and timely information/materials to all stakeholders.
  • Accurately maintain the student information systems for ABE to include registering new students, removing existing students, and modifying student data.
  • Maintain GED schedule.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Highly organized, capacity to solve problems and work effectively with minimum direction.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and proofreading skills.

Schedule:

  • 172 days per year

Pay Range/Classification:

  • Position classified as B-2-1 in LEAF contract
