The role of a Administrator (MSK) will be to help and support with the referrals, booking and post clinic administration for patients in the MSK service of Leylands Medical Centre.
The role holder will also be expected to support the Leylands Reception team from time to time.
Main duties of the jobTo deal with all telephone queries from patients, GP surgeries and hospitals
To deal with all incoming emails on NHS Net mail
To action unassigned tasks and tasks from outside on Systm1
To activate and process all incoming referrals via ERS System
To register all patients on Systm1 MSK Module and add to Awaiting Triage Workflow
To log and action triage outcomes
To directly book into secondary care clinics via Electronic Referral System
To book patients into MSK Clinics on Systm1
To send out appointment letters via Docmail
To book Interpreters via Enable2 if required
To prepare and tidy Consulting Rooms before and after Clinics setting out/putting away injection trays
To keep injection trays stocked and order new stock via Nurses at Leylands
To action clinic outcomes
To complete clinic letters to referring GPs/ and type up referral letters and directly book into secondary care clinics
To cancel any Clinics due to Annual Leave or Sick Leave
To keep a record of awaiting results chase up and bring to Clinicians attention
To record weekly clinic/triage statistics
Deal with any incoming post
To scan any incoming paper documents onto patients records
Franking any urgent outgoing mail/taking to Post office when required
To support the Reception team at Leylands from time to time

Person Specification Qualifications- GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Experience of a fast paced administrative role
- Experience of working in a self directed manner
- Experience of speaking to patients/service users/customers
- Experience of using IT systems (above and beyond Microsoft Office)
- NHS experience (or similar)
