Brook Street are currently recruiting for an experienced Administrator to join a leading organisation operating within a highly regulated engineering and manufacturing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled administrator with strong technical documentation experience to play a key role in supporting engineering operations, ensuring documentation remains accurate, compliant, and audit ready.
As an Administrator, you will be responsible for providing high-level administrative and documentation support to an engineering operations team. You will work closely with engineers, subject matter experts, vendors, and contractors to maintain essential maintenance documentation and support the smooth running of daily operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, formatting, reviewing and updating SOPs, work instructions, procedures, forms and technical documents
- Coordinating document reviews and approval processes
- Maintaining accurate and inspection-ready documentation
- Supporting maintenance planning activities and extension requests
- Creating and updating equipment certification and maintenance documentation
- Raising and tracking purchase requisitions
- Obtaining supplier quotations
- Supporting purchasing activities across the engineering function
- Providing general administrative support to the team
- Liaising with external suppliers and contractors
- Booking vendors for site-specific training
- Scheduling contractor visits and site access
- Ensuring service reports, certificates and required documentation are received and filed appropriately
- Managing maintenance records within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Supporting equipment data management
- Creating maintenance procedures from supplier documentation and internal technical guidance
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in administration, technical documentation, engineering support or maintenance support
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written communication and technical writing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Confidence working with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working with document management or purchasing systems
- Experience within a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, engineering, life sciences or other regulated environment
- Knowledge of GMP and Good Documentation Practice (GDP)
- Experience supporting engineering or maintenance teams
- Previous exposure to CMMS systems
- Competitive hourly rate of £14.50 - £16.41 per hour
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- 08:30am - 4:40pm
- 37.5-hour working week
- 12-month contract
