Highwood Care Home is a purpose-built luxury home in the historic port town of Bideford. Offering Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for up to 67 residents, we provide a warm and supportive environment where residents thrive and staff feel valued.

We are now looking for a skilled and organised Business Administrator to play a key role in the smooth running of our home. This is a varied role that requires excellent administrative skills, a professional yet approachable manner, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative management team.

What You Will DoAs Business Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, providing a warm and professional welcome. You will manage key administrative systems including resident agreements, staff contracts, payroll and E-learning modules, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the home. You will also maintain our enquiry database, support the Home Manager with operational tasks, and give tours to prospective residents and families.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same - from supporting colleagues with day-to-day enquiries to ensuring compliance with company procedures, your input will directly support the smooth and effective running of the home.

What We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual with proven administrative experience, ideally within a care, healthcare, or hospitality environment. Strong communication skills, confidence with databases and office systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. You will also bring a collaborative, professional approach and a genuine interest in supporting the wellbeing of residents and the success of the home.
