Undercliffe Surgery are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic administrator to join our friendly dynamic team.
The position is a 12 month fixed term contract and are happy to consider applicants for both part time and full time hours.
Main duties of the jobTo co-ordinate the electronic filing and flow of information received by the practice, ensuring that the appropriate person sees that information.
Supporting clinical staff in data entry requirements and coding and providing support to the secretarial team where necessary.

We are a friendly dynamic team led by our two GP Partners. Our clinical team consists of GP's, Advanced Practitioners, Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, supported by our secretarial and admin teams. We also work alongside physiotherapists, social prescribers, pharmacists and mental health support workers who are aligned with us from Spen Primary Care Network.
Job responsibilitiesFollowing the practices written protocols:-
- Filtering andprocessing incoming and outgoing mail, electronic clinic letters and email correspondences
- Processing out of hours and NHS 111 reports
- Processing incomingand outgoing medical records
- Filing and storing ofpaper medical records
- Registration of newand temporary patients
- Processing thededuction of patients
- Actioning of GP links
- Actioning andfiltering of patients online appointment requests and queries via Patches
- Entering codes from hospital letters onto the clinical system
- Processing outgoing post
- Providing admin supportto the secretarial and clinical teams where necessary
- Previous experience in an administrative role
- Experience of working with systmOne
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English
- Accuracy
- Well organised
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Medical Terminology
- Microsoft Office
