Administration & Organisation - Barkers Lane School

Due to the forthcoming retirement of our long-serving school business manager, the governing body of Barker's Lane School are seeking an organised, proactive and dedicated individual to join our friendly school team. The post is to commence on 5th January. A commitment to ad-hoc paid training from 3rd November will be required and can be negotiated.

The post is a permanent role. Term time only with no term-time leave.

The post is 30 hours per week with the following working pattern: Monday 8.30am-3.30pm, Tuesday 12pm-3.30pm, Wednesday 8.00am-3.30pm, Thursday 8.30am-3.30pm and Friday 8.30am-3.30pm.

This is a key role and the successful applicant will oversee the school's financial management, administration, liaise with human resources, premises, health and safety and operational systems.

The successful candidate will:

• Have excellent financial and business management skills.
• Lead and manage school operations effectively.
• Have a strong understanding of health and safety.
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be highly organised, adaptable and solution-focused.
• Manage their own workload efficiently.
• Work effectively with staff, governors, parents and external partners and can line manage a small team of admin and ancillary staff.
• Share our commitment to supporting children, staff and our school community to 'Learn Together' and thrive.

Knowledge of Wrexham County Borough Council systems is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
