Location: Newcastle Probate Registry, located at Kings Court Building, Earl Grey Way, North Shields NE29 6AR.
Fully office based
Hours: 37hrs Monday-Friday
Pay rate: £12.86 increasing to £13.25 after first 12 weeks
Start date: As soon as clearance is completed
Length of Assignment: until29/01/2027
What you'll be doing:- Providing vital administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of courts and tribunals.
- Handling general administrative duties such as photocopying, filing, and updating records on in-house systems.
- Managing incoming enquiries face-to-face, via written correspondence, and over the phone.
- Drafting standard letters, reports, and notes following guidelines.
- Processing casework, including documentation and court orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collecting, assembling, and modifying information for meetings and reports.
- Producing basic statistical and financial reports.
- Contributing to team meetings and small projects, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service, delivering a helpful, polite, and efficient service to internal and external customers.
- Flexibly undertaking other duties as required.
- Minimum of 5 GCSE passes (grades A-C) or NVQ Business Administration Level II, or relevant administrative experience.
- Good computer skills suitable for the role.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, friendly approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- Excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
- Flexibility to work at different locations if needed.
All roles are UK-resident roles, and security clearance may be required. Interviews will be face to face preferred, but remote options can be accommodated.
